STILL IN DUNEDIN

Jan 17- We had a rough windy night last night and the wind is very strong this morning. We have put on extra spring lines to try and keep us off the dock. We are presently getting 34 mph winds and its supposed to be up most of the day, O'Joy-O'Bliss! It will definitely be an inside day today.

Jan 18- We are up early this morning so we can have breakfast with Sid and Evelyn before they leave to head down to Gulf Port Marina. They have a good day for it as its sunny and calm right now. I feel pretty lost right now as we have been with Sid and Evelyn for about a month here at Marker 1 Marina. We are waiting for Charlie and Bonnie (Sonata) who are doing the crossing on Wednesday, weather permitting.

Jan 19/21- Dave is up early today as he is going to get the rental car so that he and John can head up to Tallahassee. There they will be met by Bill Moorehouse (Corsair) who will drive them back to Apalachicola to crew on his boat for the night crossing to Dunedin. I will be going over to Zephrhills to stay with Pat while the guys are gone. The guys are due into Marker 1 Marina at 9:00 am Wednesday, so I will drive us back over then. They left Apalachicola at 1:00 pm to make the crossing heading into 4 to 6 foot waves on the bow right out of the gate and then it calmed down at this end. When Pat and I arrived at the marina, we had just missed them as they went to have breakfast. They all looked pretty worn out from their ordeal but did not want to hit the bed yet. John and Pat headed home and Charlie,Bonnie, Dave and I went over to the local restaurant down the street called Frenchy's and had a wonderful grouper dinner.

Jan 22- We woke up to a windy, rainy day so far, but the sky seems to be clearing. I have just been puttzing around doing up laundry and vacuuming through the boat. The guys are doing something aboard Sonata so Bonnie and I have decided to go for a walk while the sun is shining. This is the longest walk Koby has had in some time, so he should drop on the floor of the boat and sleep for the rest of the afternoon. We have invited Bonnie and Charlie to have dinner with us tonight and there may be cards played after that, who knows!
