Nov 4- We left Midway Marina at 7:00 am as to get to the first lock early. Two other boats followed suit and fortunately Fulton Lock was open and we drove right in. The second lock Wilkins Lock was open as well but we had to wait a few minutes for one boat to catch up. The third lock the Amory Lock was unloading a tow up bound so it was open as well. However there were four boats ahead of us. We all got ties and did not have to raft to anyone. It is a warm overcast day and we are all hoping it won't rain until we are finished with the locks. We have arrived at the fourth and final lock for today called Aberdeen Lock. Five boats entered the lock and tied but unfortunately we had several stragglers and sat waiting for them for a half hour. Nine boats locked through that lock. We are now heading for Columbus Marina for the evening. We have had a couple of jet trainers flying above us as the Columbus Air Force Base is quite close. We were beginning to feel like we were being escorted down the river. We arrived at the marina at 4 pm and by the time we got the boat tied, hydro hooked up and went to pay it was getting dark. There are several of the Loopers we have met before here (we have caught up with them again). Sonata have company aboard tonight so we are doing our own thing tonight.
