CHARLESTON

May 5-7 - We are planning to stay here for a couple of days as there is much to see and do in Charleston. We took the marina shuttle downtown the first day and visited the "market", which is a series of buildings filled with grass baskets, jewelry, spices, clothes, hats - just about anything you could want. We had some lunch then took a bus tour of the downtown to get some history of the area. The next day we took a tour of one of the local plantations (a very interesting tour) but we were limited on our time as we took the later tour and ran out of time to see it all. The next day we took our bikes over to a market downtown had a croissant and coffee for breakfast there and walked around looking at their wares. We biked around a bit more before heading back to the marina to get things ready for our departure tomorrow.
